This double knitted pattern with worsted weight yarn produces a thick, reversible fabric that will keep your tablet safe. This pattern is worked from the opening of the tablet cover down, and the end is seamed together on both sides of the fabric to create a truly reversible tablet cover.

To knit up a cover for an iPad for example, 100 g of each color is used. More than two colors can be used too, making this a potentially great stash buster.

Tablet sizing accommodates tablets between 5-9” in width, and 8-12” tall.

Materials needed:

  • 50-90 g of each color worsted weight yarn, 100-180 g total. The yarn quantity depends on the size of your tablet.
  • US 4 (3.5 mm) circular knitting needles. 16” circulars will work for most tablet sizes.
  • measuring tape
  • scissors
  • two tapestry needles and waste yarn

Techniques used:

  • double knitting
  • two color invisible cast on
  • grafting (kitchener) stitch
