Stripes are a perennial favorite, and these bold bands look as striking now as they did almost thirty years ago. The kicker, though, is Mieke’s surprising back, which is filled with rows of dashes. Of course, you could stripe the back the same as the front, or cover the entire sweater in dashes if you wish. The loose fit and raglan armholes make this a comfortable pullover you’ll wear again and again. The original was knit in Scheepjeswool/Juniper Yarns cotton; we’re suggesting Lion Brand’s 24/7 Cotton so you can match the original colors. This particular shade of green is as fresh now as it was then; the contrasting color for the neckband, cuffs and lower edge adds even more personality.
