Passap machine knitting instructions for a sideways knitted, pleated skirt. The pleats are achieved by alternating bands of long stitch (N/CX) with stocking stitch. All the back bed stitches are transferred to the front bed (using a transfer lock) before the stocking stitch bands.

The bigger sizes are made by knitting more repeats of the pleats.

The top 16 cm of the pleats are sewn down with “invisible stitching” and an elasticated waist band is attached.

The pattern calls for 600 (620, 640) g “fairly fine mohair/synthetics” and a length of elastic.

Test square (one repeat of the N/CX, N/N, transfer to front bed, GX/N pattern): 100 sts (front bed) = 46 cm, 32 rows = 1 pleat =2,5 cm
