A chunky cowl is ideal for quick knitting and bold texture!

This one is knit in the round for easy finishing. It starts with a simple, seed stitch border, then transitions into the main lace pattern. The eye-catching lace pattern creates edged diamond shapes that fit together like an intricate mosaic tile design.

Near the top, gentle shaping is integrated into the lace design to slightly taper the cowl for a better fit. The cowl ends with the same seed stitch border.

The sample shown here is knit with two strands of bulky-weight yarn held together throughout. If you prefer, you can substitute a single strand of a super bulky weight yarn.

Pattern includes charted and written instructions.

Sample shown is in Cascade Ecological Wool, held double.

Approx yardage required: 320 yds / 294 m of a bulky-weight yarn OR 160 yds / 147 m of a super bulky weight yarn.

Some bulky and super bulky substitutes listed above.
