Imagine the silky feel of alpaca wrapped around your shoulders and neck. And with this stole, you’ll look as elegant and dressed up as you feel.

You will experince the undeniable softness of this stole as you knit it from end to end in one piece. The lace design is a 12-row repeat that is worked the length of the stole and surrounded with a simple seed stitch border.

The lace pattern is charted and written out and consists of basic decreases and yarnovers. The result is a lovely all over lace design with the look of gently drooping twigs.

Requires about 876 yards of a fingering-weight yarn. Shown here in Berroco Folio, an alpaca yarn. Some suggested substitutes listed.

NOTE: The Folio yarn is listed as DK here on Ravelry because it will knit up nicely with a range of knitting needle sizes, but you can see in the comments on this yarn that it is more of a fingering (and even a light-fingering) weight in actual physical thickness. This is why I suggest a fingering-weight if you substitute. I also recommend finding a yarn that has alpaca or something similar that gives it the halo which allows the lace fabric to look nice knit up on the size 6 needles. Please keep this in mind.
