This pattern gives you two character choices, which both use very different materials. The regular Top Hat Teddy is known to be beginner friendly, whereas, the Rockstar Top Hat Teddy is more advanced due to all the intricate details. There are many photo step-by-step tutorials for any courageous beginners though!

I used various different yarns that I had available in my stash, but use whatever brands you prefer, as long as they’re the same style/weight as I used, it should work up just as fine!

Premier Just Chenille yarn in the color ‘Cocoa Brown’ (3 skeins)
Bernat Velvet yarn in the color ‘Mushroom’ (1 skein)
Red Heart Super Saver in Black (1 skein)
Red Heart Super Saver in White (1 skein)
Polyester Stuffing
Black embroidery thread
White embroidery thread (optional)
Piece of cardboard (can be any recycled scrap piece)
2 black buttons
2 (18mm) safety eyes

Rockstar Top Hat Teddy
Loops & Threads Chenille Home Slim in the color ‘Mustard’ (2 Skeins)
Sweet Snuggles Lite in the color ‘Winter White’ (1 skein)
Bernat Blanket in the color ‘Crimson’ (1 skein)
Yarn Bee in the color ‘Charcoal’ (1 skein)
Premier Just Chenille yarn in the color ‘Light Blue’ (1 skein)
Red Heart Super Saver in Black (1 skein)
Red Heart Super Saver in White (1 skein)
