This pattern is for a 3 colour Peace Poppy that may be made into a brooch for Remembrance Day. Many poppies may be fastened together in rows to form a scarf or wrap. Poppies may also be stitched onto a scarf or garment as an embellishment.

Finished size will depend upon your choice of yarn and the hook size. If your work results in a poppy that is too tight, use a larger hook. If your poppy is too loose, use a smaller hook.

Gauge: You do not need to do a gauge swatch for this project, but you may wish to make a sample, then make any desired adjustments.

Materials needed: yarn and a crochet hook in the recommended size for that yarn. (I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn and a size 4.0 mm hook.) To make this Peace Poppy, you will need three colours in the same weight of yarn: black, red and white. The poppies don’t take much yarn, so this is an ideal stash-buster.
