What has 2 heads, 4 arms, and 3 legs?
A race of space aliens; or the racers in the classic grade school track and field event the 3 legged race! The cable motif that runs up the foot of this sock reminds me of the hodge-podge of foot falls left as 2 children amble towards the finish line with their center legs tied together. 3 mock cables with ribbing accent the back of the leg.

This pattern looks fabulous in tonal, variegated, and self-striping yarn. The large range of sizes means that you can knit a pair, or 3, of the 3 Legged Race socks for the smallest and largest racers in your life.

This pattern is toe-up and written for distinct left and right socks. The cable motif can either run up the insides or the outsides of the foot. The back mock cable ribbing is centered. The pattern also includes the Spacious OMG heel, which mimics the traditional heel-flap and gusset heel, but is actually a short-row heel worked from the toe-up. The Spacious OMG Heel modifies the original OMG heel to have a deeper more spacious heel pocket. This heel more closely mimics a gusset heel rather than a short-row heel, with twice as many gusset rows.
