These mittens were originally designed for my grandpa who used to do research in Alaska. They’re inspired by the traditional Selbu mittens and the Chugach Alaskan Mountains.

YARN
Approximately two skeins (high contrast ideally) of at least fingering weight wool (roughly 150m each).

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
US 2 – 2.75mm - 3mm double pointed needles

NOTIONS
stitch marker, scrap yarn, tapestry needle, and scissors.
