Use this pattern to create a warm beanie with a subtle yet elegant diamond pattern. TIt is built using front and back post double crochets for the best squish to your beanie!

It is built from the brim up with detailed instructions for decreasing. If you’d like to make it bigger or slouchier, there are also instructions for that!

You’ll need about 400-440 yards of your favorite worsted weight yarn in your favorite color! I find solid colors best illustrate the texture for this beanie.

Size can be altered by adding to the foundation double crochet in multiples of 8, and by repeating rows before decreasing

Lighter size 4 yarn with a 6.0mm hook can be used for a similar width and height of the hat.

You will need:

  • Size 6.00 mm (J) crochet hook
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors

Can be made with two (2) skeins of Cascade 220 Yarn (worsted) with enough left for a pom!
