This is an easy sock pattern with a short row heel and decreased toe. It is written as a multiple size pattern, which a chart for amount of stitches. This means that you simply fill in the correct stitches for the size of sock you want to knit.

The 4ply version gauge is 5cm x 5cm square = 14sts x 15 rows
The DK version is 5cm x 5cm square = 11sts x 13 rows
both in stocking stitch knitted in the round

Any good quality 4ply sock wool or DK wool would be suitable, although it would be better to use plied rather than single spun yarn.

For the 4ply 400m/100g is sufficient
For the DK 300m/100g is sufficient
We use self striping yarn for dramatic effect
