With the 4th of July just around the corner, I figured your front door could use a little sprucing up! And what better way to decorate, then to make a unique and colorful wreath for the holiday.

Materials

foam wreath – mine is 14”, purchased from Michael’s
red and white yarn to cover the wreath – I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in white, red and royal
5 mm (H/8) hook for the wreath and stars
4 mm (G/6) hook for the stars
red, white, and blue felt
measuring tape
hot glue gun (or fabric glue)
ribbon (optional)
fringe twister (optional)

Abbreviations – all crochet stitches are in US terminology

ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tc – treble crochet
mc – magic circle (could also use a ch 4, and slip stitch to for a ring)
sl st – slip stitch
