The 504 Sweater is an intermediate top-down sweater featuring an all-over colourwork design. The sweater is knit from the top down; first the back is cast on and shaped with increases along each side. Stitches are then picked up along the slanted increase lines, and each shoulder is worked separately before the two sides are joined to create the front. The front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the armholes and decreases are worked to create tapered sleeves. The colourwork is provided only as charts and is not written out.

Size guide
The pattern includes directions for 10 sizes. The dimensions are for the sweater circumference and the length from the top of the back to the bottom. When finding your size, I recommend measuring your bust and choosing a positive ease of 10–12” depending on your preferred fit. For example, if you have a 38” bust, you would want to choose a size with a finished width between 48” and 50”.
