5084 Capes, Top & Bootees
This pattern provides instructions for two styles of cape, a top and bootees, knitted in King Cole DK yarn.
Gauge:
22 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm (4“) over stocking stitch and pattern using 4mm knitting needles or the size required to give the correct tension. Check your tension – if less stitches use thinner needles if more use thicker needles.
Sizing Information:
To fit chest:
(3-6 months: 41cm / 16”), (6-9 months: 46cm / 18”),
(9-12 months: 51cm / 20”), (12-24 months: 56cm / 22”).
Materials needed
Yarn used:
King Cole Cherish/ Cherished DK- 100g balls.
Shades: 1599-Rhubarb, 3115-Avocado, 1410-White.
Cape with Hood:
(Size 1: 1 balls yarn), (Size 2: 2 balls yarn), (Size 3: 2 balls yarn), (Size 4: 3 balls yarn).
- 1 ball of contrast for all sizes.
- 1 button.
Cape without Hood:
(Size 1: 1 balls yarn), (Size 2: 1 balls yarn), (Size 3: 2 balls yarn), (Size 4: 2 balls yarn).
+ 1 ball of contrast for all sizes.
Top:
(Size 1: 1 balls yarn), (Size 2: 1 balls yarn), (Size 3: 2 balls yarn), (Size 4: 2 balls yarn).
Bootees: 1 ball main shade, 1 ball contrast.
Additional to the needles stated above, you will need a 3.75mm circular knitting needle.
