I’ve been asked many times to design a granny square in the 6-Day Kid Blanket stitches. I came up with this square while trying to figure out something else. I still miss the characteristic chevron aspect of the 6DKB (I threw in the dc3tog anyways), but I know you all will love this, so here it is.

Cake Yarn
I love cake yarn so much, and there are so many great options to choose from. This pattern however has a join in the middle of one of the sides which becomes obvious and distracting if the colors change randomly. For that reason, it doesn’t lend itself well to random color changes, so I suggest you do a little color control and change colors intentionally.
If you don’t want to be bothered to control the colors for a large project, I suggest at least doing it for the first 8-10 rounds.
