Inspired by a vintage Christmas stocking, this “Santa Hanging Stockings” stocking will be approximately 24” from cuff to toe when finished. The back features two stockings like the one Santa is hanging on the front.

All yarn is worsted weight acrylic (like Red Heart®), except for Santa’s beard which can be either a nylon-acrylic blend or Angora. You will use less than a skein for each color, but since it is easiest to purchase complete skeins they are listed that way along with approximate actual yardage (based on 1 stitch = 1 inch of yarn):

1 7 oz skein paddy green (approx. 100 yd) 1 7 oz skein bright red (approx. 80 yd)
1 7 oz skein white (approx. 32 yd)
1 7 oz skein black (approx. 12 yd)
1 7 oz skein white Angora/nylon-acrylic blend or equivalent (approx. 5 yd) 1 7 oz skein peach/pink (approx. 5 yd)

You will also need two small/medium stitch holders and two stitch markers.
