The 62 Stitch Socks started as an idea in my head after being frustrated with 60 stitch socks being too small and 64 stitch socks being slightly too big. Whenever I would cast on a pair of socks, I’d go back and forth in my head about which size I should cast on and worrying if they’d fit. I finally decided to wing it and cast on 62 stitches to see how it worked up. My first sample was a scrappy striped pair, so I opted for an afterthought heel. The second sample used an eye of partridge heel flap and gusset which i’ve also provided directions for. Happy knitting!
