Picture design is achieved through intarsia and embroidery. Embroidery stitches used include: buttonhole stitch, straight stitch, stem stitch and chain stitch. Wooden buttons are used for train wheels.

Patterns are written and fully/clearly graphed in all sizes. Schematics are also provided.
