Mosaico from Lana Grossa is a year round yarn with a beautiful fiber blend of Cotton, Linen and Viscose. The fibers are twisted together and then dyed so the cotton and viscose pick up the day and saturate at a different speed. The linen stays natural. The finished yarn is a blend of shades and stripes. The design is worked from in pieces from the bottom up starting with a tall rib and then working short rows so the middle will now hang lower that the side edges. The rest of the body pieces are simple Stock St. If you love the yarn but don’t want a rounded bottom edge, simply work the rib and transition into Stock St. without the short rows. It is that easy.
