I really like cables and lace, that’s why I wanted to make a pattern that included these two techniques. The cable is a Celtic cable and therefore I named the pattern a Celtic touch. Since some people like long shawl’s and other don’t I designed an adjustable pattern.

This is a shawl with many possibilities. You can make it shorter or longer. But you can also make it wider by repeating one of the 3 patterns. Also, the braid is changeable, for example from a frontwards cable into a backwards cable braid.

Since the shawl has cables and lace it can be a challenge to knit, if you’re not familiar with these techniques. The shawl starts with knitting the border after that starts a part of the body by picking up stitches.

The gauge is not really important. Material advice is fingering weight yarn
