a cloud of bats
by Laura Aylor
A fun, easy cowl in two colors of worsted-weight yarn that uses slipped stitches to create a textured, two-color pattern that is simple to memorize. Starting with a provisional cast-on, it is knit flat, and ends with a three-needle bind-off (or Kitchener stitch if you prefer).
Yardage details
You need equal amounts of each color for both versions: 110 of each for the single wrap and 220 of each for the double. (This includes a bit of a cushion, so the 219 yards of the Bohemia Worsted is fine!)
Skills required
Provisional cast-on
Slipping stitches
Three-needle bind-off (or grafting/Kitchener stitch if you prefer)
