This is a very old vintage pattern, which I believe is mid-late 1800’s.

“This design shows a sweetly pretty and light-looking shoulder covering, for theatre or dance wear, or for cool summer evenings ; and it can be made in white, cream, pale pink, or any colour desired.

Materials: 10 to 12 ounces of Faudel’s Shetland floss, two-fold peacock fingering, or pearl fingering, and two bone crochet hooks, No’s 5 and 8”.

Having researched the bone crochet hooks, these seem to be the equivalent of 4mm (No.8) and 5.5mm (No. 5)
