Why have a day out in Bournville? To visit Yarningham, of course! This pattern was originally released in two sizes (Medium and Large) in the Yarningham festival brochure but is now available to purchase in four sizes.

The unisex socks have an easily memorised stitch pattern that is ideal for both solid coloured yarn as well as the wildest of multicolours. They are worked toe-up with a flap and gusset heel. The pattern is written for four sizes, Small (7¼”/ 18.5cm foot circumference), Medium (8”/20cm), Large (9”/23cm) and Extra-Large (9 ½”/24.5cm) when worked to pattern tension of 9 sts per inch/2.5cm in stocking stitch.

You will need: 400 yards (365m) fingering weight yarn, 2.25mm (US 1) needles for knitting in the round, or size needed to achieve pattern tension, darning needle.

You need to be able to: work a provisional cast-on suitable for a toe-up sock, work in the round, work increases and decreases
