I made this shawl to keep my daughter warm in the cool mornings when she sits on the couch. It has long wings to drape over her arms like a warm hug. It features an unusual construction which will showcase a gradient set of 10 or 20 colours although it can be made with a single coloured yarn too.
The pattern is called ‘A Dyer’s Dragon because I made it with 20 shades of purple. The pattern fits a small adult or a teenager due the shoulder shaping. The pattern contains some sections which are good for crochet in front of the TV and some small sections that may require concentration. I made most of it traveling on the train. All stitches have written instructions and photos. Terms are written in full the first time then abbreviated eg Single Crochet (SC).
This pattern was tested but we are all human so if you have questions or problems with the pattern, please email at Melissa2cats@gmail.com or join the Facebook group where I can share videos and photos. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1812501098814745/about/

19 x 20 g 4 ply sock yarn (75m) various colours. The pattern is written assuming they will be used darkest to lightest. The yarn above is a gradient set where each ball of yarn is slightly different but clearly related. It could be made with a single yarn colour.
