The first bag in this pattern is a small gift bag I designed to coordinate with a pair of Fetching fingerless gloves I made for my niece as a Christmas gift. The Fetching gloves were knit from Debbie Bliss Cashmerino in a pale blue (the same color as the embellishments on this bag); I also decorated the gloves with a handful of small cream colored vintage buttons at the cuffs (see photo). The cream color of the bag coordinates with the vintage buttons, and the gloves fit perfectly inside this bag.

The Terra gift bag features the same 4x1 ribbing of Fetching fingerless gloves, and the cable so the bag completely coordinates with Fetching to make a complete gift idea.

The pattern also includes my “Small Knitted Gift Bag”, which uses any worsted weight yarn and is about 5” to 6” tall plus my dear little “Santa’s Itty Bag” which is a wee 2 1/4” tall gift bag made of DK weight left over yarns.

I put quite a lot of care into publishing my knitting patterns, including features such as:

  1. Beautiful, scrapbook style full-color coversheet
  2. Complete list of materials and yardage requirements
  3. Color closeup photos of stitch patterns with detailed instructions
  4. Black and white reference photo for easier color visualization
