A Fresh Start Toque was designed in collaboration with Wool & Honey, local yarn store in northwest Michigan. It’s a classic knit hat with quadrants knit in different stitches to make the knitting process more enjoyable.

DESCRIPTION: knit in the round with folded rib brim and different knit/purl stitches in four sections of the hat.

NEEDLES: US 6/ 4.0 mm, or size to obtain gauge

GAUGE:

Rib Row Gauge: approx. 34 rows in 4”/10cm

Body: 21 sts by 28 rows 4”/10cm in stockinette, Each stitch quadrant has a different gauge but all together, they balance out and will even out in blocking.

NOTIONS: stitch markers, tapestry needle, measuring tape, gauge ruler if needed

YARN: Light Worsted Weight

Sample knit in 100% Michigan-grown, Non-superwash Wool, 100g/skein. Dyed by Six and Seven Fiber.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Worn with negative 2”/5 cm ease.

To fit head circumference of 21”/53 cm (22.5”/57 cm) {24”/60 cm}
