This shawl starts out from the bottom up, working the center triangle in a soothing and simple garter stitch and lattice cable pattern. Once complete, this triangle is bound off and stitches are picked up on the outside edges for the lace pattern to be worked outwards. 5 sections of lace are worked before binding off, however if yarn usage is a concern, the shawl can be bound off early without compromising the aesthetic of the design.
