Just a little bit of something sweet and romantic for you or a loved one, these socks combine a simple colorwork motif with a classic construction. This pattern includes advanced-fit instructions for those who struggle with being able to wear colorwork socks due to the more rigid fabric quality.

Colorwork is only charted. No written instructions are provided.

Materials and Gauge

Yarn: Main color – any solid or semi-solid sock yarn. Example shown using Yarnbrary Classic Sock in Blank Page. Contrast colors – use your scraps of fingering weight yarns! Rows of hearts take about 2 grams each. Toes take about 7 grams for both. Use up your bits and bobs.

Best effect obtained with solid or semi-solid yarns to make sure your colorwork pops.

Needles: US size 1 needles (2.25 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge. If working in magic loop, use needles with 40” cable.

Darning needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge: 9 stitches per inch in stockinette.
