An update to my cowl “Commitment Issues”. This version incorporates smaller and larger mitered squares for added color play. I also utilized two different decrease line “looks”.

Make a snug cowl with just six mitered squares before the border, a looser one with nine, or even one with twelve (as shown) to have a loose cowl that can always be twisted up double if need be.

This pattern was written for a class. It starts with the smaller squares which provide for getting through a lot of miter square joining techniques in a class time frame, and is also written to be extra instructional in parts.

The yarn kit used was specific for a class at a knitting retreat, but any of our striping paired with a solid would work great. Just 50g of a “striping” (some of our striping are gradient striping as used here) and 50g of a solid makes this lovely cowl.
