Here is a fun jacket that every doll who loves pirates would like to have. It’s not only a statement piece, but also keeps its owner warm during the colder months of the year.

This beanie will make a nice set together with the pirate-themed beanie I made. You can see both of them together in the pictures on the left.

I believe a very confident beginner knitter will be able to accomplish this project, as long as you are familiar with colorwork, and know how to switch from one yarn to another properly. If you’re not experienced with this, please look up a tutorial.

The jacket is meant to fit an 18-inch American Girl doll, as shown in the pictures. However, they will also fit similar dolls, such as Our Generation, My Life As, and others. I added a sizing chart to the pictures, to help you compare your dolls to the American Girl dolls.

The pdf file includes the written instructions, as well as a graph to guide you through the pattern.

It is recommended that you read entirely through the pattern before starting with it. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.

For this pattern I used:

~ Mainstays 100% Acrylic yarn, 4-medium in the colors Black, Red, and White, but you can use any other 4-medium worsted weight yarn you choose.

~ Knitting needles size: US 8 - 5.00 mm

  • I want to keep my patterns free for everyone to use, but in return I would like to ask you not to sell them or claim them as your own. You are free to sell the completed projects you make with my patterns, however.

Have fun, and happy knitting!
