This design combines Double with Fair Isle Knitting. It is a colorful and extra warm garment. The coat is knitted from top to bottom in one piece, the neckline and sleeves are knitted in the round, the body in rows. It is reversible, because of the double knitting.
The armholes in both sizes are a good 7cm/2.75” larger than standard sizes, so the coat has a kind of bat sleeves, which gives you the opportunity to wear a sweater underneath.
Also the chest circumference is oversized so that you don’t feel constricted in spite of the sweater.
The model shown is in the size S/M and several wonderful women from size XS to XL have already tried on the coat, but mostly without a sweater underneath, but it fitted everyone, with the larger sizes it was simply more a “fit” and with the smaller sizes an oversize

Construction
The construction of this coat is as follows: cast on at the collar using a two color cast on. The yoke is knit in the round and sleeve stitches are placed on waste yarn. After the body is completed in straight knitting, the CC stitches are decreased and the MC stitches are bound off. The sleeves are knit and finished in a similar way as the body.
All charts are in grey and white only, please see color lists on pages 11 – 17.
