This is a pattern for a crocheted doll inspired by the character of “Aang,” from the animated TV series “Avatar the Last Airbender.”

I used Herrschner’s 2-ply afghan yarn and a size 4 steel crochet hook (1.75 mm) to make a 6-inch doll. Any comparable yarn can be used to make the doll the same size. For a larger doll, use 4-ply yarn and a size F aluminum hook.

Colors used: cream, ginger brown, buttercup yellow, orange, small amounts of cool blue and chocolate brown.

Other materials needed: 2 8-mm blue buttons for eyes, 1 small metal snap fastener, polyester fiberfill.
