Laughter is sprinkled throughout the bright & sunny home like raindrops after a sunshower. It dances over timeworn wooden floors--golden and joyfully scuffed from the footsteps of puppy feet chasing after gleeful children’s squeals. The hallways hold the patter of little feet gently in their hands, cradling the treasured memories that are woven through this place. Then, in a crash of exhaustion, they rest. The favorite everyday handknit, part sweater, part sweatshirt, cozy and snuggly, encases its wearer in love. Books, deep piles of throw blankets and silence--contentment. These brief pauses in time will eventually pass. But in this moment, they are present.

Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, flat to start and then joined in the round at front when neckline shaping is completed. Please slip all markers as you come to them throughout the pattern.
