Abbie Cocoon Cardigan
The Abbie Cocoon Cardigan is an easy, textured crochet cardigan pattern designed to make garment making feel achievable.
If you’ve been wanting to crochet your first cardigan but have been intimidated by shaping, sleeves and multiple garment pieces, a cocoon cardigan is a wonderful place to start.
The Abbie is constructed primarily from a large crocheted rectangle, which is folded and seamed to create the relaxed cocoon shape. This straightforward construction allows you to concentrate on the beautiful stitch pattern without constantly worrying about increases, decreases and complicated shaping.
The pattern uses the signature textured stitch combination from my Abbie Collection, named after my niece. It uses familiar crochet stitches to create a fabric that looks interesting without being difficult to work.
The pattern is written in four adult sizes covering Small through 5XL and uses #4 weight / aran yarn.
