The body of this pattern is worked in the round, with steeks for the armholes and neck.

From pattern description:
“There is no doubt that both the process and the product are rewarding in this Aran. The traditional circular construction, square armholes, and the use of steeks is given flair with a short, boxy shape, an interesting combination of pattern stitches, a slightly deeper crew neck, and removable knitted shoulder pads. The body stitch patterns are the same front and back, the sleeves are complementary to, but different from the body. No boredom here! You are sure to learn something new in the course of this project - I did.”
