I was looking for a close-fitting cowl with a neat but simple pattern to showcase a skein of handspun yarn that I just finished, and ended up designing one instead!

This cowl is designed to fit close (so it can actually keep you warm!), and has a simple yet interesting flame lace pattern with a garter stitch border at the top and bottom.

My dog was the only model which made the cowl look good, so I named the pattern after her!
