Aberlemno
Inspired by ancient Pictish stone carvings from the village of Aberlemno, Scotland, this mosaic crochet pattern forms a continuous annd intriguing geometric design.
The pattern includes full written instructions for both a cushion and a throw, as well as a chart and a photo tutorial, but is easily adaptable to all sorts of other homewares and accessories: coasters, table runners, and scarves, for example.
YARN requirements:
Cushion uses
DROPS Nepal (50g): 5 balls/250g of colour A (Dark Grey Mix), 4 balls/200g of colour B (Orange Mix) (675g total)
Throw uses
Stylecraft Special Aran with wool (400g balls): 3 balls/978g of colour A (Stormy Grey), 2 balls/689g of colour B (Dijon Nepp)
Other requirements:
5mm hook
For the cushion, you will also need a 42cm x 42cm (16.5” x 16.5”) cushion insert.
