Pattern uses US terms, and is worked from the top down in one piece, no seams. It works best when using a cake of gradient yarn (2 cakes/2000m for adult sizes), in either fingering, fine, sport or light DK weight. It is suited to intermediate (or highly confident beginner!) crochet skill level.

NOTE: This is a very flexible pattern to be able to accommodate any size. As such, it’s impossible to give stitch counts (in version 2). It relies on measurements only. If you don’t have the person with you that you’re making it for, it will need some educated guessing. I’m happy to help with this.

Other suitable yarns are Scheepjes Whirl, Cotton Kings Twirls or Hobbi Twister.

I’ve updated the pattern to allow for custom sizing, from baby to adult (any size!) I’ve kept the original pattern uploaded for those who prefer it. I’ve also made 2 videos to help with the yoke: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsDsjTvf-nCyOIR872P5Ffw

The pattern uses the “HDC into the 3rd loop” stitch. There are many great tutorials on this technique on the web. It is a bit difficult to explain inside the pattern, so please make sure you understand this technique before you start.

This pattern has been thoroughly tested, and I’m confident that there are no errors, but if there’s anything you don’t understand, I’ll do my best to help. I always respond within a day, but usually within minutes.

Please reach out to me if you want the pattern, but really can’t afford it. I’ll help where I can!

Much love from me x
