This very simple cowl is fully reversible and can be knit with any weight of yarn and to any size. It is perfect for mini-skeins or for using up scraps.

Show your pride with The KnitCircus Worsted Weight Traditional Pride Pack. This pack is enough yarn to make 3 of these cowls or made a longer cowl to wrap around your neck for super snuggliness. This sample was knit from the leftovers after knitting the Born This Way Scarf using the KnitCircus Pride Pack. The colours were so much fun that I had to keep knitting!

The cowl is worked the round in garter stitch with slipped-stitch stripes on both the inside and outside. I’ve always found garter stitch in multiple colours interesting because it mixes up the colours differently depending on where the colour change occurs. On one side of the cowl, the stripes are in colour blocks but the background mixes the colours. On the other side of the cowl where the stripes mix the colours, the background has a regular colour block look.

The slipped stitches raise the stripes to add a double layer of squishiness to the fabric.
