With Autumn on the doorstep here in the Northern Hemisphere, summer’s plenty is being pulled in for harvest. The sun dances a little lower, offers cooler days and plays with longer shadows. Enfold yourself in this Abundance. Now is the time for a lighter extra layer, something cozy to wrap up in whether during the day, or a snuggler for evening. And as the days grower colder, this shawl can be used as a jumbo scarf… really, a versatile piece for all seasons.

This shawl is knit top-down in a triangular shape featuring a simple, delicate eyelet lace motif set in bands of stockinette with garter stripes, and finished with a petite bobble bind off/cast off. Instructions are included for an alternative finishing option, a picot edging. 4 ply/fingering weight yarn is used for this pattern. Yarns in solid or semi-solid or gently speckled variations would be ideal for this pattern. Knitters of all experience will enjoy this project. A great first shawl project. The way the pattern works becomes easy to memorize once you get started. Happy knitting!
