The Acadia Shawl is for those days when you need a little extra comfort in your life. It’s for wrapping around your shoulders while you sip a warm cup of tea or coffee. And it’s for the days when you need an extra layer around your neck to keep the chill out. Stitch with love and stay cozy!

This pattern is written for one size, however, you could always customize it and make it larger by repeating stripe/color block sections. It’s completely up to you!

Gauge is 17 hdc = 4” (unblocked) However, gauge is not always super important when making shawls. If you choose to use a thicker yarn, just remember that you’ll probably need less yardage to complete your project and your shawl will be much bigger. If you use smaller yarn, then you’ll need more yardage to complete and your shawl will be smaller.

I used Lion Brand Touch of Mohair, but any DK weight will work. Substitute with worsted for a heavier/bigger shawl or sport weight for a lighter/smaller shawl.

I used 2 colors when making mine, but choose however many colors you would like. The choice is up to you. Get creative!
