The seventh pattern in our Sock of the Month “National Parks Series”!

The Acadia Tidepool Socks are inspired by the beautiful, diverse Acadia National Park with its amazing tidepools along its granite shore. Worked on two circular needles from the toe up, these socks feature circular cable motifs and twisted stitch ribs that create tidepools that flow gracefully (and are mirrored) along the leg of each sock.

Size: Small 7” to 8” (Large 8” to 9”) circumference

Gauge: 32 sts/4” (30 sts/4”) in Stockinette stitch

Needles: 2 x US 1 (2.25mm) (2 x US 2 (2.75mm)) Circular needles or size to obtain gauge

Materials: Frabjous Fibers’ Queen of Hearts (80% Superwash Fine Merino Wool / 10% Cashmere / 10% Nylon: 410 yards/113g)

Yardage: Approximately 350 (400) yards (1 skein)

Notions: US C Crochet Hook and Cable Needle

Note: For those with larger calves, increasing the needle size by one size about 1” above the heel will provide a more comfortable leg fit.
