Two patterns for the price of one! One is a classic scarf, with a texture stitch that is sure to appeal to both men and women. The other is a not too snug, not too loose neck tube we call a cowl. Both projects are excellent for beginners with a simple stitch pattern called a Mistake Rib. The samples, knit with the Anzula yarn are luscious, with excellent drape thanks to the merino-cashmere blend. The scarf pattern includes an excellent trick for a smooth edge called a “slip stitch edge” which is explained in a tutorial that comes with the pattern.

Finished Dimensions:
Scarf: 153cm/61” long, 20cm/8” wide
Cowl: 51cm/20” circumference, 23cm/9” wide

The projects are knit a little loose for better on a thicker worsted weight yarn. Choose a 5mm or 5.5mm or needle to suit your tension.

Level
Knitters must know how to cast on and knit and purl and cast off to make the scarf. To make the cowl, knitters must know how to knit in rounds on a circular needle.
