Acorde Cardi is a drop-shoulder cardigan with an oversized fit. It has an overall square pattern created by purl and slipped stitches and showcasing the unique quality of yarn, while the i-cord finishing adds a clean, neat feel. The textured pattern has a distinctive charm of hand-knitting. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize so you can knit it relaxed.
It will be a versatile piece that you could throw over a T-shirt or blouse throughout the year and becomes a piece you can enjoy coordinating your look.

It is worked from the top down and starts at the back yoke, with increases to shape shoulder slant to the full width of the back. Then stitches are picked up for each front yoke and worked back and forth with neckline shaping to the underarms where the front and back are joined, then the body is worked back and forth to the hem. The hem is worked with an i-cord bind-off. Then, stitches are picked up for the buttonband and worked back and forth with buttonholes. Lastly, sleeve stitches are picked up around the armhole opening and worked in the round with symmetrical tapering. All sections have charts. You can easily check how new stitches are incorporated within the pattern.

Needles
3.75 mm / US 5, 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40 inch circular needles for body and sleeves.
3.25 mm / US 3, 80 or 100cm / 32 or 40 inch circular needles for buttonband and i-cord edge.
Needles for buttonband and i-cord edge should be two sizes smaller than those for the body and sleeves.

Gauge
22 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm / approx. 4 inches in Acorde stitch pattern (see stitch guide) after blocking, on 3.75 mm / US 5 needles
Make sure to achieve the gauge by adjusting needle size if necessary.

The Acorde Cardi is designed to be worn with 20-30 cm / 7.75 -11.75 inches of positive ease at the bust. The sizes are designed to fit bust circumferences of approx. 80.5-90.5 (90-100, 100.5-110.5, 111.5-121.5) 124.5-134.5 cm / 31.75-35.5 (35.5-39.25, 39.5-43.5, 44.5-47.75) 49-53 inches.

トップダウンで編んでいきます. まず後ろ身頃を往復編みで増目しながら後ろ身頃の幅になるまで脇下まで編みます. その後左右の前身頃の肩の目を拾い, 増目でネックラインを形成しながら往復編みで脇下まで編みます. 脇下で後ろ身頃と前身頃をつなぎ合わせ, 裾まで往復編みで編みます. 裾はi-cord BOで伏せ目します. その後前立ての目を拾い, ボタンホールを作りながら往復編みで編みます. 最後にアームホールに沿って袖の目を拾い, 左右対称になるように減目しながら袖を輪で編みます.
