These textured mitts are inspired by acorns. Slipped and twisted stitches create a subtle but still visible effect of stripes as you would find all over an acorn. They are knitted bottom-up, seamlessly. At the top of the mitt, just above the thumb, is an eye-catching pattern whose little scales resemble the acorn’s cap.

Another detail is the rolled welts, reminiscent of a petiole, which emphasises the 3D effect of the acorn cap even more. The folded ribbing with twisted stitches adds a nice touch to the design, makes it more comfortable to wear, and is an extension of the lines going through the whole body of the mitts.
