This pattern will show you how to make an oversized acorn throw pillow. You can use it on your couch, for fall decor, or just to add some whimsy to your day! This acorn looks great next to my oversized mushroom throw pillow.

I made mine using Yarn Bee Andes Alpaca in Cinnamon and Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Honey. I realized after I finished that the Andes Alpaca has been discontinued, but I you can substitute Yarn Bee Tender Touch in Sable, Loops & Thread Charisma in Espresso, I Love This Chunky! Yarn in Heathered Brown, or another dark brown yarn of your choice. I used a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook. You’ll also need a lot of fiberfill stuffing, stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.

Gauge isn’t crucial as long as your stitches are tight enough to keep the stuffing in. I tend to crochet tightly, so you’ll probably want to go down a hook size if you’re a looser crocheter. As written, the acorn is about 12” tall.
