Acorns Collection by Noël Margaret

Acorns Collection

Did you know there are some six hundred species of oak trees worldwide? That’s a lotta nuts! This collection is a selection of six different acorns, modeled after specific nuts from various oaks. Each piece can be made using any weight yarn to achieve a different sized acorn from teeny tiny to oversized. As such, these patterns are written with an openness for you to choose any yarn and colors you wish. Use the photographs as a color guide if you wish. It is noted when to change colors in each pattern, but don’t hesitate to make a striped or Fair Isle acorn - what fun!

Each acorn is knit from the bottom to top (nut to cap), with the exception of the Pin Oak Acorn, which is worked as two pieces. Since each acorn requires only a small amount of yarn, this is an exceptionally fun stash-buster project. But be warned, once you start knitting up these delightful little nuts, you might find it hard to stop!
