There are so wonderful hand dyed yarns on the market but I find that too often the effect gets lost with knitting. I wondered if I could change that. The hand painted sock yarns of Misti Alpaca were my inspiration; also because of the wonderful softness of the yarn. The advantage of the yarn is that the color repeats are very long for a hand painted yarn which makes the pooling effect quite spectacular. Up to now I haven’t found any other company with similarly long color repeats. Please, take into account that the color repeats of self striping yarns on the other hand are too long for the desired effect.
The pattern contains detailed instructions how to attain this effect.
This jacket is very easy knitting but with the enchanting effect of a water color painting, and this is true for both sides of the knitting!
