I’ve come to look forward to my Christmas KAL every year because it is a time to slow down, enjoy the knitting community, and a chance to make something beautiful. This year is no exception. love Downton Abbey and enjoy re-watching it every winter, so it only made sense that when I was trying to decide on a color for this year’s KAL that the obvious choice was Lorna’s Laces “Christmas at Downton.” Since I know how short the days feel this time of the year as the stress piles up, I’ve chosen a Worsted Weight for the KAL this year. Worked at a looser gauge than normal, this shawl has the most magnificent drape while keeping you comfy cozy. I look forward to knitting along with you, as you take a moment to find joy in your day and unwind with your stitches! May your knitting bring you peace and joy all season long!

The KAL will start on November 23, 2018 and will run until January 6, 2019. Unlike year’s past, on November 23 you will receive the full pattern in your library. There will be no clues so that you are able to work as much, or as little, as you wish each day until you are finished. Be sure you are following me on IG (@doulaknitter) as I’ll be sharing different ways of making memories over the Holiday Season during the KAL. Use #memoriesKAL2018 to share your progress and chat along! I am looking forward to sharing this season with you and hopefully help you to create a memorable holiday season. Whether you are in need of a last-minute knitted gift, or are seeking solace in your everyday life this season, this KAL has you covered!
