Part shawl, part cowl.

I designed Adamas because I most often wear my shawls around my neck like a scarf, but found that they would slowly fall off as I moved around. Shawl pins are a beautiful way to keep this from happening but I needed a solution that was a little more kid-friendly.
So I designed a shawl (scarf, cowl?) that mimicked the look I wanted by knitting a bottom up shawl that joins in the round and tapers as you knit towards the neck.

It is listed as a pattern for worsted weight but it can be customized to any yarn and to any size

Set up to begin working in the round:
K9, yo, ssk, K6 repeat to last 2 sts, yo,
Adjust your knitting to begin working in the round, so the first st of the row now butts up to the last st.
Slip the next first stitch of the next row to the right hand needle and pass the last stitch over it,
Slip the first stitch back to the left hand needle, k2tog,
Pass the second last st over the k2tog,
You’ve now decreased 4sts into one, they interlock together to create a strong join.
